Sarawakian’s Must-Have Tools for A Successful Content Marketing In 2020

When it comes to content creation, we will have tons of ideas for it. Tons. That’s the curse and blessings of the fellow creatives. But, what about the execution? Who is going to create the content that you’ve just imagined in your head? We may be way too busy and most of the time these great ideas would slip off our mind. Unless, our boss has finally realised that we can’t handle content creation alone and hire extra hands, but that’s another whole topic entirely. What I am about to share with you is what I’ve been using for the past at least 5 years, yes and that I had to work alone in most parts so I need to plan ahead using some of these amazing tools:

1. Social Media Content Calendar

Yes, this is my holy grail of not missing any important dates. A social media content calendar makes it possible to have strategic and an organised week/month of content across all of the social platforms such as blog posts, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram and Pinterest. This is simply because so you don’t end up neglecting any platform and you can proudly include all of your active platforms onto your promotional content.

Tips: I usually set aside a whole week just to plan and create content prior and I’ll send it to my CEO to be approved. Or I’ll plan ahead, get approval then create content. Either way, at least, you are sure that there is the consistency of content across your platforms. But the secret is don’t do it at the very last minute because you need to take into consideration your fussy boss.

Make sure to also include key local, national and global dates to ensure that current content is covered.

2. Social Media Content Management

Ever heard of Hootsuite, Agora Pulse, and Buffer? These are amazing tools that I’ve used to schedule content that I’ve planned and created. You don’t have to pay for them! Three of the platforms do offer free options although with limited functions but still works well if you are not too heavy on content creation. I find it to be very useful if you want to ensure consistency when it comes to content. No accidentally missing any important national day!

3. Hashtag Generator

You can just google “Hashtag Generator” and you’ll find a list of them. As with the name, it generates hashtag based on your keyword. Bunch of most used hashtags will come out and you can use them for your caption to reach out for more audiences.
